The federal government will not be paying back 30 trillion-plus of debt. So, what is the best way to deal with this in their minds? Make the dollar worthless so 30 trillion isn’t a lot. In inflationary times borrowing debt is better than holding cash. Sad to say, but the truth is 30 trillion won’t be a lot in the future. Just like a dollar won’t buy a lot in the future. Be aware. Inflation is a poor man’s tax. Never let anyone tell you differently. The average person does not have the means to hedge inflation.
